Q: What does pharmacist appreciation month mean to you?

Here is today’s question (and one that I can’t wait to answer):

What does pharmacist appreciation month mean to you?

Every March is Pharmacist Appreciation Month. Pharmacists play a key role in the health and wellbeing for millions of Canadians. So for me, March is a time to share my appreciation and to celebrate all of the extraordinary pharmacists across this country for their passion, dedication, and sheer desire for wanting to help Canadians live healthier lives – every day.

Like always, pharmacists remain committed to delivering care by ensuring that Canadians have adequate access to medications. They continue to be flexible, deliver best practices and put in countless hours in the face of adversity. 

I have even more of a reason to share my love the pharmacists and pharmacy teams this year given the challenges we’re all working with. And like many of you, pharmacists have led by example and remained committed to helping Canadians navigate the uncertainty (and anxiety) of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

I am especially thankful of the work our Express Scripts Canada Pharmacy teams have done to step up and do their part over the last 12 months.  They continue to deliver on their commitment to take care of the health-related needs of our patients so that those Canadians can live healthier.

So to my ESC Pharmacy colleagues in British Columbia Manitoba, Ontario, and New Brunswick – thank you. Your dedication to better understanding our patients has made all of us at Express Scripts Canada proud to stand behind you and recognize your efforts. Your commitment and passion is inspiring and is, no doubt cause, for celebration. You are all a testament to what great health care can be – and I am proud to support that effort.
