Ask The Pharmacist Special Episode on COVID-19
Hi, I’m Adil Ladha, the Director of Pharmacy Operations at Express Scripts Canada. Welcome to a special edition of Ask the Pharmacist.
The Express Scripts Canada Pharmacy is here to offer you peace of mind when it comes to your medication.
We have a dedicated pharmacy team that is committed to maintaining the high level of service that you are accustomed to and to ensure there is no disruption to your service during this time. And on a personal note, I am extremely, extremely proud of the ESC Pharmacy Family across Canada for their continued efforts to ensure the safe delivery of medication and that our patients continue to be taken care of.
We at Express Scripts Canada are committed to your health and safety. I’d like to share some insights into the COVID-19 pandemic, and how to keep yourself and your family safe.
While COVID-19 is a serious risk, there are many things you can do to lower the risk and keep yourself healthy. Prevention is key:
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick
- Try not to touch your mouth, nose, and eyes
- Cough or sneeze into a tissue, or your elbow
- Share a smile, instead of a handshake or hug and
- Wash your hands thoroughly, for a minimum of 20 seconds and wash them often.
If you feel ill, reach out to your health care provider. It is essential that you avoid exposing others to your illness.
Remember, we are all living through an unprecedented time that presents unique challenges and can create feelings of anxiety and loneliness. Education is important.
For the latest information on COVID-19 visit reliable sources like government health authority websites, or talk to a healthcare professional such as a doctor, pharmacist or nurse.
It’s also important to keep in touch with friends and loved ones during this time.
Social distancing doesn’t mean isolating yourself.
Reach out by phone or video conference apps to keep connected.
Thanks for watching. I’m Adil Ladha with Express Scripts Canada and I wish you good health.
